What I Offer
Generally sessions will begin with gaining some background understanding of each clients situation and goals, as well as outlining any clinical recommendations I feel may be helpful. Each clients treatment plan will be tailored to the individual and will often use multiple evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Based Therapy (ACT), Systemic Family Therapy, parenting or behavioural techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness and general counselling. A trauma and family based lens is also utilised.
What to expect
Each session will run for strictly 55 minutes, unless it is a first appointment which require 1 hour and 25 minutes. With clients who are under the age of 18, it is vital that one or both parents/carers are willing to engage in some sessions and be available by phone during their child’s session if they need to be contacted.
Cancellation/no show of sessions less than 2 days prior to the appointment time will result in a cancellation fee. Sessions are otherwise able to be rescheduled.

About Me
My name is Jenni and I am a fully registered Psychologist who grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. I studied at Western Sydney University where I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology and full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Throughout my career I have worked in public and non government sectors, with children, adolescents and adults. I have experience with trauma, anxiety, complex family dynamics, depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, ASD, panic disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, stress, disordered eating, school refusal and more. I have a strong commitment to evidence based practice as well as a collaborative and client led approach to treatment which utilises a persons strengths. I feel the psychologists role is to guide a client on their journey, exploring techniques, understanding themselves, feeling understood, reducing stress and setting goals.
